Our Trip to Edson and Jasper

Posted by on April 5, 2007

Last Friday Kara, the new camera and I packed up our duds and headed out west, 7 hours later we were in Edson, Alberta. We went out there to Visit Kara’s Brother and Family, and her parents for a Baby Dedication and joint birthday celebration. On Saturday we went to Jasper for lunch and roamed around the town. It was nice to see the mountains in winter, as a Kid I mostly saw them in summer and the only time I went in winter was when I went climbing with a group from Saskatoon and it was cold… and I rode a motorcycle.

On the way back from jasper we saw a sheep on the road and it was nice enough to let Kent Snap some pictures.

Then we left for Edmonton Sunday afternoon, we had our hearts set on trying another Korean BBQ restaurant “Bulgogi House”, but when we got into Edmonton they were already closed. So then we had to go with plan B “Korean Village”. It was pretty good, but probably would not go again. At first I was pretty thrilled about the all you can eat Buffet. But the meat was not marinated very long and flavor just didn’t stick with the meat. “100 Kings” in Regina still holds the #1 spot in my book.

Then Monday morning we went to the West Ed Mall and shopped for a bit and then we hit the road by 1:30 or so. Everything went very well and we had a great time driving and visiting with family.
