As promised, we rose and shone at 6 in the morning in plenty of time to take in all of Yosemite. By the time we were ready to leave, the park had already become quiet busy. On leaving we found out that it was “free entrance day”. I guess that didn’t help things!
We were planning on taking the long route through Death Valley National Park, but the forecast was for 50C and that was something we didn’t want to experience. When we looked at the forecast over breakfast at a local diner, I exclaimed loudly “Is this Celsius?!”
We decided to continue the shorter route through Las Vegas on our way to Grand Crayon National Park. We are staying tonight in an RV park in Boulder City just east of Las Vegas. We did over 800 km today with 100 km being climbing to over 9000 feet on the Tioga Pass and the other 700 km of desert driving. We got to see 39C and that was hot enough for us Saskatchewan folk! Off to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon!
Hey Jason and Kara, amazing pictures again. Awesome Possum 😉 .. I am looking forward to seeing more of your fun time pictures. By the way, very beautiful waterfall. If I’d a chance to be there, I would have taken a shower under that waterfall. 🙂
Hav a good one! Regards, Jay and Mishal!!
