Eagle Creek is sometimes not what you expect.

Posted by on July 19, 2010

This weekend we kept it simple, Thursday night we had Dave and Dawn over for supper. Kara’s salmon bake was fantastic as usual.

Friday after work we headed out to Eagle Creek for some R&R. We made a quick supper and then headed in to avoid the rain. Saturday morning flew by and then Kyle and Joanne joined us at about lunch time, Hamburgers for all. (from M&M meat shops, they were delicious)

We took a little tour of the small park and did some trout fishing, Kyle screamed like a girl when the horseflies bit him 🙂 and then we went back to our camp spot for potatoes, corn on the cob (grilled) and steaks. (from M&M meat shops, they were delicious)

It was a bit of a windy day which was nice because it would have been a scorcher if it was calm, also I thought that the mosquitoes were kept at bay by the wind, but Sunday we learned that even in Dead Calm air, there were hardly any bugs – This is not what I would have expected!

It was so nice on Sunday, sunny and warm with little wind – So we decided to stay another night and come home early Monday morning. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t taken a single photo the whole weekend, So I snapped this little gem to complete your reading experience.

I guess it was better that I screamed like a girl vs. swore like a sailor after getting bit. 😉

We had a blast coming out.
