No Bulgogi in Saskatoon?

Posted by on July 11, 2010

It’s so hard to believe that we are already celebrating our 4th anniversary. On our official anniversary on Thursday we pulled out our diary that we did when we were in Hawaii for our honeymoon. We hand wrote our daily events on the Royal Hawaiian stationary! Look how far we have come in 4 years!

As mentioned in the previous post, you know that we decided to continue our Bulgogi tradition in Regina this weekend. I had Friday off so I took the STC bus to Regina Friday morning to visit Char. I was actually pleasantly surprised to see that the bus had free WiFi. The trip went by super fast with only about 4 or 5 stops along the way. Within three hours I was in Regina! I had a great visit with Char and Avery. Jason came into town later that night and we stayed at the Sandman. Always a good choice.

On Saturday we relaxed in our room and spoiled ourselves with room service from Denny’s. We took in an IMAX show (Deep Ocean) and then got ready for the big anniversary supper at Korea House.

At first glance the Korea House looks to be an older building and one might judge the book by it’s cover, but that all changed once we were seated. The BBQ grills were modern and very nice and the location was clean and tidy. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and soon we were set up with Bulgogi for two. The kimchi was excellent. On request they brought us lettuce and a variety of other veggies to grill including onions, garlic, and mushrooms. All the ingredients were fresh and crisp. We both really enjoyed the flavor of the bulgogi. Everything was excellent and the only thing that we were saddened by was the fact that we have to drive from Saskatoon to Regina for this tasty treat.
